Artist Vibe
Monday nights at Georgetown Piano Bar belong to Carol Munday—a vocalist and pianist whose seven-year residency has turned the traditional start of the week into one of our busiest nights. Her ability to shift from intimate ballads to rowdy crowd sing-alongs creates the balanced energy that keeps Monday regulars coming back and first-timers planning their next visit before they leave.
Artist Bio
Carol Munday has held down Monday nights at Georgetown Piano Bar since 2017, building a dedicated following through her versatile piano skills and dynamic vocal range. Classically trained at Berklee College of Music before cutting her teeth in Boston's dive bar circuit, Carol brings both technical proficiency and raw performance instinct to every set. Her repertoire covers six decades of music, with particular strength in classic rock, soul, and contemporary pop—she can move from Prince to Adele to Garth Brooks without the playlist feeling disjointed. Carol's interaction style sets her apart from other performers. She remembers faces, calls out repeat visitors by name, and has an intuitive sense for when a table wants the spotlight versus when they'd rather sing along from the safety of their seats. Request slips fuel her sets, but she reads the room carefully, building momentum with crowd-pleasers before dropping in the deeper cuts that surprise longtime fans. Her piano duels with other performers who join her on alternating sets have become a Monday night tradition—spontaneous musical conversations that turn competitive in the best way possible. Carol's work at Georgetown Piano Bar extends beyond performing. She's helped train newer pianists on crowd management techniques and serves as a mentor for vocalists learning how to balance entertainment with musical integrity in a high-energy dueling piano environment.
